State Map Puzzles
Buffalo Games had been looking for ways to infuse local love into their big box store products, and wanted to start with a collection of state map floor puzzles. I was asked to create a few states for their initial launch and to define the style, text, palette and icons that would be used in future development. I researched each state’s famous buildings, national parks, places of interest, geographical regions, and so much more. After placing major cities, rivers and landmarks, I developed artwork to showcase some of the things that make each state unique. Below are the final results!

The last map puzzle to launch the Little Buffalo brand was the United States of color map. State-shaped pieces give kids a head start on their knowledge of US geography, while a rainbow of colors and playful icons make it fun to put together!
