Pomegranate Apps | Emoji Pals App | 2016
Developed with Pomegranate Apps, users create their own emoticons in just a few simple steps: choose a character, pick an emotion, add accessories and share your creation! The app was designed to be free with the idea of raising awareness of Pomegranate Apps’ full range of products.
Characters to choose from included friendly foods, emoji-based shapes and cute critters! Each character was designed with 10 emotional variations. Once a character is chosen, the user can then pick the emotion!
Accessories were broken into 4 categories: hats, glasses, mustaches/mouth coverings, and neck flair. Each character was designed to have the same spacing between the mouth and eyes to ensure the accessories fit properly. The result is a unique emoticon!
Above is an example of how the app looked when creating an Emoji Pal, how it shows up when sending one to friends, and peek at one of the specialty “packs” I developed, which included seasonal accessories, characters and sayings!
